Customer Service 

At Sidmouth Design we want you to be happy with your purchase and some of the items we sell may require talking to our friendly staff to discuss your requirements to make sure we get the desired results for you. We advise talking to us especially for any made to measure items if you have any questions as these items cannot be returned.  Email julia@sidmouthdesign.co.uk, phone: +44 (0)1395 577558 and we’ll get straight onto it.

 

Returns Policy

Should you wish to return anything purchased from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product.  You must notify us within 7 working days (starting from the day after you receive your goods) of any return and returns must be made within 14 days in original, undamaged packaging wherever possible. You will be refunded (where applicable) the full purchase price costs but you will be responsible for the shipping costs to and from Sidmouth Design if the goods are not faulty.

 

Please be aware that under the Distance Selling Regulations you are under a statutory duty throughout the period of cancellation to retain possession and take reasonable care of the goods.

Faulty goods or goods damaged during transit will be replaced or refunded without charge to you but we kindly ask that you advise us as soon as practicable.

 

Products we are unable to refund or exchange

Cancellation of orders of bespoke products

All of our products are a special order item per customer

Therefore a restocking charge may be incurred on all items of upto 30%

All bespoke and made to measure items cannot be refunded unless faulty
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Sidmouth Design, Old Station Yard, Alexandria Road, Sidmouth Devon ,EX10 9HE

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

HOW TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE ITEMS

  • Email julia@sidmouthdesign.co.uk stating your reason for return and whether you would like an exchange or refund. In the case of a damaged product, please do send over an image where possible for us to pass on to quality control.
  • Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement where goods are faulty or not as described. If the item is damaged or faulty, then we will cover the cost of receiving the item back with us. Please ensure that if you are sending anything back to us that you request a proof of postage, as we will not be liable for items lost in transit on their way back to us without proof of postage.
  • If you have requested a refund, this will be processed within 14 days of receiptof your returned items. If this refund is made directly to your credit card this should appear on your next credit card statement.

 

None of the conditions mentioned affect your statutory rights.

 

Delivery times

Unless you’re having an item specially made or ordered, delivery is normally within five to seven working days,and often much sooner.

Sidmouth Design will let you know when they aim to dispatch your items once they receive your order.

Very occasionally, unavoidable factors can delay a parcel (bad weather or postal strikes, for example). If this happens the seller will let you know. We do ask for your patience if this happens – we’ll be doing our best to sort it out for you. Once your order is on its way, the seller will be in touch again to let you know when you should expect it

In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of the delay and despatch it as soon as it arrives.

 

 

Product Information 

In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error in pricing, we reserve the right to change the price when necessary and refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item, even when the order has been confirmed and your credit/debit card charged. If your credit/debit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall issue a credit to your card account.

 

Every care has been taken to ensure description and specifications are correct. In some circumstances products may vary slightly due to their manufacturing process. Please be aware if ordering leather and wood furniture that both are natural products and will vary from the samples/images provided. Every piece will be unique – leather may have more, or less, markings and wooden furniture will have random grain patterns and varying shades of colour. In wood, knots, splits and blemishes can be naturally prominent and enhance the individuality of each piece.

 

 

If ordering stove items, such as natural stone, marble, wood fireplace surrounds we cannot be responsible for natural markings in the stone. As a natural product each item is made from individual pieces of stone or bark and any markings or grainage will be thousands of years old.
